“De Malas Prontas” is a silent comedy that tells us the story of two women who have no choice but to share the same bench in the waiting room of an airport...
From the very first moment it is quite clear that sharing things with somebody is not an easy task. Conflicts are going to happen at a dizzying speed until they reach a point of no return where there is just one option left … WAR!
Straight to the point and in a great humorous tone, we are drawn into the world of everyday troubles, into the vile battle we have to confront to claim our own space and survive every day.
Life is made up of small wars … and big miseries!
Through laughter we approach typical matters of a contemporary world such as intolerance, greed, envy, wishes, violence... and notice how the lack of dialogue transforms minor conflicts into great tragedies.

Andréa Padilha and Vanderléia Will studied acting at the UDESC (Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina) in Brazil. In 1999 they founded the Compagnie Pé de Vento. They perform more than 150 shows each year worldwide.
Pé de Vento Company is distinguished by a constant search for its own popular and universal language, using humour as a resource to reach its goal, which is communication through laughter, criticism, and reflection with all social classes, no matter what their cultural or economic conditions are.
The main objective of Pé de Vento’s projects is the inclusion of populations that are economically disadvantaged and historically marginalized.

Since its world premiere in Brazil „De Malas Prontas“ has been seen by more than 100,000 spectators and has won several prizes.
